About Me

My primary profession is information technology. I currently freelance as project manager with a focus towards IT-based projects. Over the years I have moved through programming, analysis and design, management, IT business owner, and I am currently a freelance IT Project Manager. You often hear people say that the only thing that is constant in IT is change itself. For me this is not a cliché but a reality. I have enjoyed all the changes. Over the last 5+ years I have made generous use of free and near-free online education. Learning keeps you forever young ( ha ha ).
In addition to my core profession I have owned and operated a fashion boutique, I have published two ebook so far and I am in the process of completing a second on business and a third on project management. I have been trying my hand at short stories particularly about men I know. Maybe I will publish the two I am working on when I can think of suitable closing chapters. [More on my ebooks later.]

My Hobbies
My primary hobbies are art, craft, reading and conversation. I started painting late in life (after age 50years) after never having done art in school (incredible!), and always wishing to produce my own art pieces. I eventually went to art school, weekend classes for hobby artists, and now I can truly enjoy creating a work of art. I like to take pictures of objects in the environment, the play of the sun on the landscape, architecture, expressions of a small child and then try to re-express it on canvas.
My Philosophy of Life
One’s philosophy is often wrapped up in one’s religious or non-religious beliefs, in one’s perception of the truth of life, of creation and your role in it. I am a member of the Science of Mind community and my place of worship is called the Temple of Light, Centre for Spiritual Living. Religious science is about man discovering God and the power that is innately his; it is about the Oneness of God; it is about the dynamism of Mind; it is about consciousness – being conscious of and to the Inner Voice. I try to keep in front of me always the philosophy that ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ i.e. the Christ that indwells each of us.
In my daily living try to embody the following principles:
- The first, God is expressed in and through me, as in and through each one of us. Thus, there is an even-ness about life, no inherent favoritism, the God-power streams through us all. We take (from the goodness of life) what we can, to the extent that our ‘basket’ can accommodate. What is our basket? It is our faith, our understanding, our belief, our consciousness, our oneness with God.
- Second, I must consciously express the change or the attitude I want to see or experience. Thus, if I want joy and laughter in my life, I must express that to persons who are in my life or with whom I come into contact on a daily basis.
- Third, I must be careful what I allow my thoughts to dwell on because the thoughts that I am persistently occupied with, become manifest in my life as outcomes i.e. ‘thoughts become things’.
- Fourth, I am an expression of God, personalized and individualized. That the God creativity continues to express through me and as me in the continuing growth and evolution of the u(U)niverse. I must therefore engage, live, and be, to the fullest.
Finally

This book is regarded as the landmark guide to spiritual living . It is said to be the clearest and most complete explication of spiritual philosophy.
